Protege Single Zone Input Expander

The Protege Single Input Expander enhances the Protege integrated access control, security, and building automation system by adding a single monitored input for extended monitoring and automation capabilities. This input expander offers advanced hardware features, allowing flexible input programming and configuration.

With a high-performance 32-bit processor, the expander utilizes secure, encrypted RS-485 communications and supports both normally closed and normally open inputs. The four-state input alarm system provides detailed monitoring using resistors to detect short, alarm, closed, and tamper conditions. Additionally, the expander's design is ideal for sites with long cable runs, reducing labor costs during system upgrades. The expander also supports online and remote firmware upgrades, ensuring the system remains up-to-date with the latest flash technology.
